A ‘Dress’ to Impress

We have already been teased with the feeling of warmth and longer days are upon us. I am sure like me you are already dreaming of those sunny days where attire seems more relaxed, more effortless and definitely less layered!

It is time for the dress to really come into its own this season and as a result, there is something for all; maxi, sheath, short, long and in suberb colours, textures, prints and florals.

I had an exciting week last week attending fashion shows for next summer’s trends. I know, I know, it seems such a long way off but in the world of fashion there is never a moment to rest on your laurels! We will certainly be in for a treat.

Colour continues to reign supreme, but come next spring, hues will be tonal and soft. Burnt orange, corals, muted turquoise blues with accents of gold. A vintage mood ensues with soft airy shapes. This was evident in tea dresses and fine knits and charming prints will evoke a sexy rather than romantic feel.

There is also a strong nautical theme, that just keeps coming back for more!
